Bad weather. Madeira remains under orange warning due to heavy rain

The Madeira archipelago remains under orange warning for heavy rain, which is expected to last until 9 pm this Friday, having already reached quite high levels, said the Regional Civil Protection Service.

The forecasts point to an improvement in the weather during the night, changing the warning to yellow, in effect until 6am on Saturday.

The wind can be "temporarily moderate to strong starting in the afternoon with gusts that can reach 75 kilometers per hour and can reach 100 kilometers in the highlands".

The captaincy of the Port of Funchal also issued warnings of bad weather due to strong wind and poor visibility to the sea in the Madeira archipelago, recommending that the vessels remain in the shelter ports.
