Twelve districts in mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning this Sunday, between 11:00 and 21:00, due to the forecast of thunderstorm, heavy rain and hail, said the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Vila Real, Santarém, Viana do Castelo, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, Coimbra, Portalegre and Braga are the districts that are under yellow warning, due to precipitation and thunderstorm.
According to the IPMA, today it is predicted "showers and thunderstorms in some places, which may be strong, hail and accompanied by strong gusts of wind".
The IPMA says that thunderstorms will be frequent in the 12 districts.
For Braga, Coimbra, Aveiro, Viana do Castelo and Porto, the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere provides for "downpours and thunderstorms in some places in the interior".
